  • About the Role

    The General Manager Philanthropy and Fundraising leads the Philanthropic and Fundraising teams within The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation and sits on the Senior Leadership Team.

    The Philanthropic and Fundraising teams are responsible for the stewardship of significant gifter relationships, and the design and execution of mass communication based fundraising programs including supporter acquisition, scheduled appeals, and re-activation programs. This involves close collaboration with partner suppliers and internal stakeholders including Communications, Marketing, and the Community Engagement team.

    The Prince Charles Hospital is the leading cardiothoracic hospital in Australia with a reputation for delivering excellence in healthcare. They employ around 3200 staff who together provide specialised care for over 420,000 people a year.

    As the premier cardiac hospital for Queensland and northern New South Wales, they are a hub for specialised services including heart and lung transplants, adult cystic fibrosis, adult congenital heart disease and complex cardiac care. The Queensland Indigenous Cardiac and Respiratory Outreach programs are also based there.

  • About Grant

    Calm, genuine and down to earth, Grant has over eight years’ experience in senior fundraising leadership roles. Grant has held numerous positions including Head of Individual Giving at Children’s Hospital Foundation, General Manager Fundraising at Cancer Council Queensland, Director of Marketing and Communications with the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation and Manager of Fundraising, Marketing, and Communications at Australian Red Cross.

    A people person, Grant has great engagement skills. He is the type of character who will happily roll his sleeves up and get involved where needed. He looks to build solid relationships, and this is achieved through his clear communication and collaborative approach.

    Grant brings a diverse set of skills and experience that is well rounded and aligned with the direction and growth of the fundraising operation of the foundation packaged within a warm supportive and engaging character.
