ROSTERING SUPERVISOR

Location: Brisbane, QLD
Role: Permanent
Rostering is vital in this person-centred business. Your leadership, vitality, skills & experience will ensure the smooth running of this organisation in support of their most vulnerable people.
  • Take ownership of this exciting, never two-days-the same leadership role
  • Energetic, flexible, supportive leader
  • Brisbane North CBD Fringe location & attractive salary
Honouring cultural & linguistic diversity, over 85% of staff speak more than one language…

This service organisation believes that successful in-home care depends on meeting the specific needs of each individual client.

After four decades of working closely with people within the CALD communities of SEQ, this unique non-profit aged care provider has an excellent understanding of the complex needs of people with all sorts of different cultural and language backgrounds. The knowledge that management have gleaned over the years has turned this understanding of people’s needs into exceptional quality care.

Currently, there is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding team leader. This role goes beyond simple rostering; it offers the chance to lead, innovate, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of the elderly every day. This position requires extraordinary leadership, resilience, and the ability to hold the team accountable. We are looking for someone strong and capable of driving positive change.

Working with a highly competent team, as an accomplished and proven Rostering Supervisor you are experienced with building a culture of confident, professional rostering officers whose negotiating abilities and expert skills make them all but autonomous in their roles.

So, while the responsibilities of the supervisor may involve dispensing occasional advice, it’s much more about leading empowered teams, performance management, quality coaching, mentoring and encouraging the members of your team to consistently perform by leading from the front.

To meet the personal characteristics essential to this role, it’s expected you will be authentic, resilient, analytical, receptive to constructive feedback, optimistic and with an exceptionally strong work ethic. Friendly and collaborative, attentive both to people and to detail, you shine by always giving credit where credit is due.

But of course, central to success will be your proven leadership skills – ideally reflected by a sterling performance in a comparable role – and a significant record of the exemplary management of people, teams, change, performance and relationships.

Just as importantly, you need to be able to build a special rapport with the managers and care providers who rely on you to provide the staffing support that keeps their clients well cared for. With their interests in mind and the welfare of their clients at the heart of everything you do, you repay their trust by offering solutions that are firm, fair and help keep “all systems go.”

A true professional, you bring a wonderfully unflappable approach to your work. And, because you know this role inside and out, you are able to always expect the unexpected; aim for the best and find great satisfaction in making an intricate job look simple!
