HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER

Location: Brisbane, QLD
Role: Temporary
Seeking a HR Officer who can provide high quality HR advice and support for a fixed term contract to June 2025.

The role:

Are you interested in utilising your skills in the HR space? With this role you will be responsible for delivering professional, timely, and culturally appropriate HR advice and support to managers and staff, in alignment with operational objectives, policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.

As a HR Officer, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Updating recruitment management systems, advertisements, scheduling interviews, processing employment compliance checks and generating employment documentation.
  • Coordinate induction and on-boarding of new employees.
  • Oversee the offboarding process for departing employees, ensuring all necessary steps are completed, including conducting exit interviews.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of human resource management delegations, legislation, policies and practices to provide advice and guidance to management and staff.
  • Assist the Team Leader, Business Support Services with research into, and analysis of a range of human resource issues.
  • Daily monitoring of the HR email account.

Skills and experience required:

  • Tertiary qualification in human resources, business, management or similar, and/or a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation and HR practices.
  • High level planning and organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience in using contemporary HRM systems (preferably Employment Hero) and Microsoft applications.
