Love a challenge that takes you forward?
Looking for a vibrant, member-based nonprofit community organisation dedicated to supporting individuals living with mental illness? Using a strengths-based focus rather than illness, members and staff work side by side, creating opportunities for social engagement, vocational training, and personal growth, where flexibility and adaptability ensure every day is unique and filled with heartfelt and meaningful interactions.

There is a wonderful opportunity for a fundraising and corporate partnerships generalist – where you can have a direct impact on supporting adults living with mental illness
This role is responsible for cultivating and maintaining corporate partnerships as well as identifying, applying for and managing grant opportunities. Working with the CEO, leadership team, corporate partners and external stakeholders you will be up close and personal – directly involved in the development and implementation of a targeted fundraising strategy.

You will need to demonstrate your ability to efficiently and effectively grant seek – writing compelling applications aligned to the purpose of the organisation and resulting in a high rate of success.  You understand the need to diversify funding streams and seek alternative sources of revenue, enabling more support to be provided.

Ideally, you’ll bring experience in a fundraising position where you built meaningful and robust relationships between various commercial interests and a nonprofit enterprise. But if not precisely that, we’re also keen to hear how you’ve developed strategies to establish and maintain key account and corporate partnerships, community engagement, business development and grant seeking.

Considered, flexible, confident, and deadline savvy, you are calm (even under the most trying circumstances), and ever ready to roll up your sleeves and go ‘the extra mile’ to resolve them.

Highly organised, great with process, and a skilled communicator who easily builds rapport and manages relationships, you’ll bring that desirable combination of understanding the Big Picture coupled with fine detail focus.  With a positive working style, ideally you’ve had some exposure to charity and corporate partnerships somewhere along the line, understand what the nonprofit sector is all about and have a proven ability to seek out new fundraising opportunities.

Whatever your background, we look forward to hearing about the methods you use to identify prospective partners, approach them and engage sufficient interest to negotiate a mutually beneficial outcome.

As a personable, high-energy and caring individual, you can always be relied on to be tactful and discreet. And because it’s so important to you that your work really matters, you’re confident of giving 100% to this challenge.  In fact, right now, you can’t wait to be able to go to work every day, knowing that everything you do helps make a difference to create pathways to better mental health for everyone.
