About the role
The Procurement Manager leads and provides procurement advice and support across the organisation’s procurement activities to ensure GCPHN meets best practice procurement policies and standards. This is a pivotal position within the organisation requiring a high level of integrity and transparency and is critical in further building GCPHN Commissioning maturity.

About the organisation
The Gold Coast Primary Health Network (GCPHN) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation funded by the Australian Government’s Department of Health and Aged Care working to build healthy connected and resilient communities on the Gold Coast. Established in July 2015, the GCPHN is one of 31 Primary Health Networks focused on identifying the health needs of local communities and provide funding to improve primary health services, keeping well and out of hospital.
The GCPHN plays a key role in improving local health services by:
- Identifying health needs of residents and service issues within the local system.
- Designing solutions and establishing new health services to meet those needs.
- Funding organisations to provide local health services, including mental health, primary care, aged care, and more.
- Supporting health professionals and general practices to improve patient care quality.
- Working closely with public, private, and non-government organisations to enhance primary healthcare services
GCPHN is building ‘one world class health system for the Gold Coast’ and takes a collaborative approach with consumers and the broader community. To achieve this goal, the team works closely with diverse groups, sharing knowledge and skills to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the primary care system to meet local need. Key stakeholders include the Gold Coast City Council, Gold Coast Health/Hospital and
Health Service, General Practice/Primary Care, health, and community service providers. -
About Jodie
Composed, astute and well credentialed, Jodie has developed a thorough understanding of the procurement environment, this has been achieved through an extensive tenure with the procurement office at the City of Gold Coast where she has grown through the levels of the department taking on substantial roles before finally landing, in the position as Procurement Manager.
Jodie has an in-depth understanding of the procurement environment; she understands approaches and styles and has been involved in service procurement and review. Jodie has developed five-year strategic procurement plans and is well versed in the interpretation and application of legislation within contractual documents.
What stands out about Jodie is her social conscience and level of community empathy. She brings a high level of ethics and morals to her work. Making a difference is important to Jodie, as is the opportunity to give back and influence the outcomes for the community she lives in.
